Little Free CLOSET

January 16, 2018

Introducing the Duluth Kombucha Little Free Closet! Here's how it works:

> Bring in any item or a small handful of items that are gently used, free of stain, rips, holes, etc., and clean.

> Exchange your item for an item in the DK Little Free Closet.

> Look good and feel good about updating your wardrobe in a sustainable way.

Why?

Duluth Kombucha's mission is to provide our community with the attention and sustainability that we give our living kombucha cultures. The Little Free Closet is a fun and free way to update your wardrobe in a sustainable fashion (no pun intended), while connecting to our community and reducing our impact on the fast fashion industry.

If you do not have anything to exchange but are in need, please help yourself to one item per day. Low income or zero income does not exclude you from use of the Duluth Kombucha Little Free Closet.

The DK Little Free Closet is available for perusal during any of Duluth Kombucha's open studio hours, which vary currently as we are still under construction. However, for the month of January our hours are as follows:

                  1/17:  12-6pm

                  1/24:    1-6pm

                  1/31:  12-6pm

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more updates on open hours.

TIPS:

>> Only bring in good condition items that you would feel comfortable giving to a friend. Save the ripped and stained garments for craft projects or perhaps upcycle them into washcloths.

>> Wash and dry your clothes before bringing them in. Toss them in the dryer on high heat for at least 20 minutes to get rid of any...unwanted friends.

>> Fold or bring clothes in on hangers (you can keep your hangers). Wrinkles take away from the appeal of the garment.

>> Post a picture of you wearing your new-to-you items. Tag Duluth Kombucha and hashtag #DKlittlefreecloset on Facebook and Instagram for random kombucha giveaways!
